Just wondering if people will find my writing interesting or worth the time. I appreciate any feedback. I feel like this is what I’m supposed to do with my life, but can’t help but wonder…. PS- I’m Bitter The streets I walk are littered with double wide strollers, cell phone gawkers, and lets not forget the hipsters that hold their coffee with 2 hands (what’s with that, by the way?). Sometimes it gets to the point where I’d rather just not look, What’s the point anyways? We all walk around this city like the guy next to us doesn’t exist. I’m either going to be ignored, asked for change, or have some strangers dog trying to put its nose in my crotch. So, sometimes, I close my eyes and walk. Sure, I may look crazy, but the guy playing the Star Wars anthem on his casio keyboard and throwing lit matches at people….he makes me feel slightly less so. Today, though, I realize my blind excursion may not have been a good idea, as I’ve run into something….something softer than a street sign and smelling less of urine and more like Stridex pads. It’s at this very moment I realize I am caught, smack dab between 2 pamphlet-flailing teenagers from Green Peace asking me if I have just one minute to save the polar bears from extinction, because “hey man, it’s like really important stuff going on out there, man”. Tricky little bastards, these kids…conning innocent pedestrians into saving a species that most of us have only seen behind bars at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Unfortunate for these prophets, however, because I am an avid watcher of Animal Planet, and I know that those fluffy sons of bitches don’t just sit at the zoo or make peace with penguins over a cold bottle of Coke. No, these bears will serve you your own ass American Gladiator style, with no need for the unitard or nerf gun. What are people really supposed to say to these kids? “No, I don’t want to save the Polar Bears today…however I do want to saddle one up and ride him into my Super Sweet 16 party! It’s all about me!” or… “You know, I’d love to save those polar bears but I’ve got a high stakes bet going that they’re going to beat out the lepruchan and mini horse for extinction. My bad.” What would I say? Well I wouldn’t pass for 16 and I would clearly bet on the mini horse as first to go… Crap. – sorry for the language, and really I have nothing against polar bears. hope you liked it. this is just a piece of a story, it isn’t finished… I’m really inspired by David Sedaris if anyone reads his stuff. Its alright. its not that interesting, where is the story going. i see no point right now, if this was on a book store shelf and i was to read this first part, i would put the book right back down and look at another book.
maybe you have a chance but it’s kind of a downer like, reading this was a bit depressing and annoying because you just go from complaining about one thing to another, and the story isn’t going anywhere…try writing about more pleasant or interesting things, not just venting about strangers

Well it is know that animals will adapt to their Environment. I am thinking that the difference between extinction and endangered is, loosing their habitat is endangering to them where as extinction is based solely on numbers. I personally think the one will cause the other. Nature designed these animals to thrive in this environment and to take it away can only cause a decrease in numbers as they fight for limited food supply.
retort to your retort to gym the polar bears are not effected by space, it is the ability to feed that is being allegedly being removed and no the northern ice will not all be melted in a few years guy who said that above i believe it is a concern and that they may be being affected, but i also think it is being overhyped. it seems like it is the only actual negative impact so far to global warming, and its not even that solid of an argument. while i can clearly see temperatures are rising there have yet to be imo significant global impacts, and until we see one its going to be business as usual
